Meet Christine - she's a retired university librarian...

Christine's superpower is showing up.

"In honouring my son’s memory, I help other clients and families, and hope to make their path a bit smoother."

Meet Christine – she is a retired university librarian who volunteers as a concierge at The Royal’s Client and Family Resource Hub.

Like many other concierges at the Hub, Christine also has a personal connection to mental and substance use health – and is determined to continue doing her part in advocating for families who are supporting loved ones struggling with mental illness and/or substance use disorders.

Thank you for your participation!

Jun24GIMR4W

On June 2nd, the annual Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women took over Lansdowne Park! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated this year – your enthusiasm has made a meaningful impact on the lives of so many who struggle with mental illness.

Together, we raised over $267,000! Whether you ran, walked, volunteered, or cheered from the sidelines, your support not only provides vital mental and substance use health resources and services, it also provides hope for those who need it most. Because of you, we can continue to make strides in our mission to improve mental health outcomes and offer hope to individuals and their families in our community.

Royal Ottawa Place turns 20!

Royal Ottawa Place (ROP) had its Spring Fling last week, celebrating two decades of care and support! Located on the grounds of The Royal, ROP is a long-term care home where staff works to enhance the quality of life for adults living with stable mental illness and/or physical limitations, like Richard.

When he was first connected to The Royal and ROP, Richard’s health was on the decline. Since his arrival, his life has transformed for the better.

On behalf of our staff, clients, and their families, we sincerely thank you for all of your support and contributions.
